I somehow ended up watching a string of videos on youtube titled “Mormons owned by Christian.” The first one was pretty funny; my sense of humor was still in tact and I still had a light heart about the discussion at hand. The videos document an encounter between unknowing Mormons on their missions (typically 2 clean cut boys) and a group of 3-4 very prepared, very Scripture-smart people equipped with cameras and Bibles.

I ended up watching 6 of these videos, and now my emotions have taken a complete 180. At first, I enjoyed watching a heated debate with one clearly stronger opponent aka Ownage, but now I feel really dejected and sort of wish I didn’t watch all those videos so close to bedtime. I’ve basically been watching videos full of hatred for other people for having conflicting beliefs. Isn’t that what started The Crusades aka Let’s Kill Everybody?

Basically, I just see a bunch of guys yelling at each other trying to convince one another that what the other man believes is bullshit. People have been fighting about religion for thousands of years and nothing has really changed surrounding that. We’re collectively growing backwards. Our life is Benjamin Button.

What’s so different between racism and religionism? The human movement of wanting world peace preaches for ignorance of skin color, and as racism is trying to make its way to phasing out (sloooowly), it seems that religionism is making a big, ugly comeback.

Humans are weeee-urd.

For my 8th birthday, my mom decorated the house for a full on party.. food, cake, streamers, games, the whole nine yards. My little 8-year-old heart was broken, however, when only 1 out of the 10 girls I invited showed up. It was on that day that I learned that bitches ain’t nothin but hoes and tricks.

We abandoned ship and Momz took me and my one friend (who is still my friend) to the Discovery Museum in downtown San Jose. It was also on this day that I learned that the only people that got your back will reveal themselves on days like this.

I’ve seen so many oinkers on the phone (talking/texting) while driving this week
Occupy NBA NFL NLB Hollywood… why are entertainers paid so much more than educators? Das bullshit.
1 hour allotted transportation time but work only pays me for 24 minutes of driving
I just missed 4:20 by three minutes so I could write this post

The sun looked so strange to me this morning on my commute that I’m blogging about it! I took this photo at around 7:30am. I’ve been becoming increasingly more paranoid about 2012 (aka The Rapture, Armageddon, Apocalypse…) as the months go by, and I freaked myself out sitting at this red light because of the sun. The sun just looked strange because of the fog I realized later, but at the time I was panicking to myself thinking this could be it. I am witness to the beginning of the end. Within 15 minutes of taking this photo, the skies cleared and it was once again a sunny day. I admit I felt really relieved, but who’s to say the end isn’t coming? I try not to scare myself much by not giving The End too much thought, but I’ve been scared of 2012 for years O_O

On a lighter note, I don’t think I’ve ever posted a picture of my cat before. I adopted him from a cage-free/kill-free cat shelter (Pet Pride) about 7 months ago and we’ve become really good pals. I swear he thinks he’s a dog sometimes, and he definitely knows who his momma is I’ve been trying to teach him how to sit on command, but cats do whatever the hell they want so it’s been tough. I think I actually gave up on this a few days ago and just haven’t really thought about it until now.

BTW the rules of the contest stated that you need to rap over his verse with him on it too.

I watched UCLA’s Korean Culture Night last night, and because I had been in the show all 4 years of college, I had never seen it from the audience side. I had a couple surreal moments because I felt so displaced from something that I invested so much into for years. It was kind of depressing actually, to see face to face that people get forgotten and memories are erased so quickly. Haha, but I’m getting ahead of myself, with the turnover rate of students at uni, displacement is inevitable. I guess it just really sank in last night for me. I think a lot of new grads deal with feelings of wanting to be back in undergrad, and watching the show helped me emotionally close that chapter of my life. I feel refreshingly accepting of the present and future.

Afterwards, I went to go watch a movie spontaneously with my friend Es.

It had been a while since I was at a theater, so I was really happy to be there. I love and really appreciate quality image when I’m watching movies/tv, so being at a theater is always exciting for me

Anyway, I thought this film was brilliant.

I just got home from Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball show at the Honda Center in Anaheim, and I’m so juiced and really want to get my thoughts down for my future self to read. I’d say I was a medium fan before the show, I liked her singles, all catchy stuff.

I overslept this morning and didn’t get all the things done that I needed to do before work so I ended up hauling ass back home after work to get everything together, ready, taken care of, and then I had to stop by the office to drop off monthly paperwork D: By then, I was rushing to get to my friend B’s place to change and get ready. With the quickness, we took off for Anaheim from West LA around 3PM. When we arrived at the venue, we saw that the line to get in wasn’t too wikkity whack so we moseyed on over to a nearby bar to meet up with my friend T’s friends from school (CSUF). We drank and were merry, T’s friend A had cheese and was kind enough to pass my way Puff puff to the sky we went!

We headed back to the venue and got onto the floor surprisingly quickly and close to the stage considering we thought we were late. It’s funny because I think we were all thinking/expecting it to be more like a rave, where people are super struggle wugglin to get the best spots at the front. The floor eventually got packed, but we secured our good spots from the beginning. The opener band, Scissor Sisters, was fun entertainment. I wasn’t the biggest fan of their music, but I had fun watching them perform (and the vocalists are really talented). In the words of the female vocalist, “If you don’t know who we are, you’re probably not either of these things: Gay or British.”

Words cannot begin to describe the Mother Monster herself, but I’ll try my best! Homegirl can SING. I respect her so much more after such an amazing live performance. I loved when she played piano or her crazy ass keytar-pyramid-thing or the organ, and she had the live (hot) harp player for Telephone! I thought people on the floor would dance more crazy, but most people were too busy filming the whole show on their cameras/phones. I feel like I was dancing the most vigorously in our little section, and I’m not much of a dancer!

She had many words of wisdom, and it was made clear what messages she was sending out (all positive ones!). I don’t think I want to try to write out my recollected thoughts on the show. Rather, I’ll keep those memories as pristine in my mind as possible.. along with the great photos I took to remind me too. I’m too tired to add any pictures right now. Maybe later. So probably never.

PS) I have work off for Cesar Chavez Day! So I think it’s important to acknowledge and thank the man and his memory and honor. Happy Cesar Chavez Day!!! Let’s all aim to do something positive in the world. ¡Si, se puede!
